Keep Brussels Evolving.

Fairer. Greener.
Samen. Ensemble. Together

Hey 👋🏻! My name is Filipe Henriques and I’m running for Brussels City Council!

Brussels has been my home for the past six years, and I currently live in the Louise neighborhood. The openness and diversity of this city are what inspired me to run in this campaign. I want to help Brussels continue its transformation into a green, global city where everyone—no matter their background—can thrive.

I hope I can convince you to vote for Ecolo-Groen and for me in the local elections of October 13.

Feel free to get in touch! You can reach me by email at brussels@fhenriques.eu or on social media on instagram, 𝕏 or tiktok as @filipewithf

A Safe City
Healthy, affordable and energy-efficient living
Every Brussels resident has the right to a healthy, affordable and energy-efficient home. That is why Ecolo-Groen wants to renovate 2.000 public homes currently in poor condition.
Safe neighborhoods
Safety in our neighbourhoods starts with prevention. With the use of interdisciplinary teams (police, community safety guardians and associations) we tackle the problems of alcohol, drugs, cleanliness, domestic violence and street intimidation. A community-oriented proximity police more approachable and better staffed.
Go For Zero
Every Brussels resident must be able to move around safely in their neighborhood. We do this with wide and comfortable footpaths, safe cycle lanes and zebra crossings, and zero tolerance for violations. For safe, low-traffic neighbourhoods.
An Healthy City
Your health is our priority
Feeling safe when you’re most vulnerable is essential. We ensure the quality and funding of healthcare services, making sure you are helped in your own language. Mental well-being is crucial, especially for young people. That’s why we guarantee free, first-line psychological care for everyone under 25.
Eating well
Tasty, healthy, and organic food in all nurseries, schools, hospitals, and care homes. We aim to offer more locally produced, affordable, and healthy food through local shops and markets.
Clean air
Ecolo-Groen is committed to creating healthy, green neighborhoods with clean air and safe streets. We will establish spaces for sports, play, and relaxation every 300 meters in all neighborhoods
A Green City
Cherishing green spaces
We cherish our green areas, such as Donderberg in Laeken and Petit Chemin Vert/Kleine Groenweg. We will smartly densify by transforming underused buildings into housing, workshops, or community spaces. Through a network of garden streets, we will cool, calm, and connect our neighborhoods.
Clean and pleasant
We will double the funding for the maintenance of our streets and parks. Public spaces will have more restrooms, improved lighting, and be designed to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
For everyone
Public spaces and transportation should be accessible and welcoming to all, especially women, children, and people with reduced mobility. We will redesign our streets, stations, and squares through the perspectives of women, children, and individuals with limited mobility.
A City to Grow in
A school for today.
Brussels schools help our children grow up multilingual. We ensure every classroom has a teacher by giving extra support and recognition to our educators. We strengthen our community schools, providing children with every opportunity to succeed. Additionally, we cultivate each child’s talents, respect their pace, and expand extracurricular activities (homework help, music, sports, etc.) within the schools.
Jobs for tomorrow
We develop qualified training programs in both languages. Together with the CPAS, we implement an ambitious socio-professional integration policy to employ people in the green sectors of the future, such as insulation, public transport, and recycling.
Education for everyone
We guarantee free education in primary and secondary schools, covering meals, materials, extracurricular activities, and homework help. This will ease the burden on families, particularly single-parent households.
A City Built Together
Building Brussels together
We build the city together with local associations, merchants, and residents. Ecolo-Groen will make decisions alongside them because this collaboration improves our projects: citizen panels, a youth advisory council, and a climate assembly.
Supporting the local economy
Brussels offers efficient services in two languages, providing quick and easy responses to residents’ questions and needs. All public facilities (sports halls, schools, community centers, etc.) are open and accessible to all Brussels residents. Ecolo-Groen aims to support local businesses in developing a sustainable and green Brussels economy.
Nightlife and rest
A cultural budget for all Brussels residents with priority for young people and seniors, to allow everyone to enjoy the city’s cultural offerings. A Night Mayor will ensure the promotion of Brussels’ nightlife in harmony with the tranquillity of residential areas.
